Fajã de Lopo Vaz

Classified as a Geosite inserted in Ponta da Rocha Alta and Fajã de Lopo Vaz, they constitute detrital fajãs resulting from the accumulation of sediments from the adjacent cliffs.
Begin the descent on an alternating dirt path, paved path and stone steps, through endemic vegetation such as Heather (erica azorica), Pau-branco (azorica picconia) and small water sources. Sometimes it is possible to observe the presence of wild goats along the fajã.
Along the descent, pay attention to possible falling rocks from the cliff.
